Hij was ontvanger-generaal van Friesland 1685/1699 en raadsheer bij het Hof van Friesland 1710/1721.
Hij woonde op Goslingastate te Hallum.
Sjuck is getrouwd Hallum 13 mrt 1692 met Jeepck van Douma, ,ook Feick,, gedoopt Hallum 23 jan 1670, overleden Hallum,Goslingastate 21 apr 1735 ,65 jaar,, dochter van Bartholt van Douma en Doedt van Crack, ,ook Dorothea.
Uit dit huwelijk:

Wilhelmina is eerder getrouwd Marrum 20 feb 1750 met Gysbert Arentsma van Idsinga, geboren Marrum 20 aug 1706, gedoopt Marrum 22 aug 1706, overleden 4 aug 1760 ,op zee, begraven Hallum, zoon van Johannes van Idsinga en Alegonda van Coenders.
Er is een rouwbord in de kerk van Hallum ter nagedachtenis kapitein ter zee Gijsbert Arentsma van Idsinga met sterfdatum 4-8-1760, oud 53 jaar, zie Walle 2257.
