Meester Frencken was een persoon die midden in de samenleving in Beringe stond. Hij was als hoofd der school in Beringe een bekend gezicht binnen het dorp.
In 1993 werd de rotonde aan het kanaal in Beringe geopend. De naam van de rotonde 'Bonaparte' werd door Jac Frencken ingediend.

Heel bijzonder was zijn opzienbare ontsnapping tijdens de razzia in 1944. Hij verborg zich in een kaartenkist van zijn school. Gelukkig voor hem vonden de Duitse soldaten hem niet.
