Ze hadden 4 kinderen allen in Amsterdam getrouwd

Gesijna Holtman woonde bij haar huwelijk op de boerderij van Jan ten Bruggencate op het Zeldam te Delden. De vroegere naam van deze streek was Kotwig/Kottwijck.
In de gevel staat prijkt een steen met initialen van het huwelijk. Deze boerderij stond aan de handelsroute van Oldenzaal naar Deventer.
De broer van Jan was afkomstig uit Amelo en heeft een deel van de inventaris opgekocht van het Sint Antoniusklooster in Albergen, een Twents mannenklooster. Dit klooster had bezittingen in Oldenzaal, Ootmarsum, Enter, Zwolle, Deventer en Nijmegen. De klooster-oversten moesten regelmatig naar Oldenzaal toe voor officiële handelingen.
De drie zandstenen kruisvensters en platen (waarschijnlijk grafzerken) uit de vijftiende eeuw die in de boerderij zijn aangetroffen, zijn de oudste kloosterkozijnen die Twente nog rijk is.
