CORNELlS VAN DE LISDONK, te Goirle geboren op 6 december 1845 linnenfabrikant. bestuurslid van de fanfare Oefening en Uitspanning en lid van de afdeling Goirle van de Sint- Vincentiusvereniging overleed te Goirle op 19 januari 1905. Hij trouwde te Oisterwijk op 13 mei 1873 met Johanna Maria van Besouw, aldaar geboren op 19 september 1848, dochter van de leerlooier Jan van Besouw en Elisabeth van Beckhoven. Zij overleed te Goirle op 14 november 1908. Vanaf 1890 was Cornelis de enige firmant van de firma P.W. van de Lisdonk & Cie. Met zijn vrouw maakte hij in 1874 een testament en samen stonden zij in 1902 borg voor hun zoon Pierre van de Lisdonk ten behoeve van de N. V. Crediet Vereeniging Amsterdam. Na zijn overlijden werd een inventaris opgemaakt, waaruit blijkt dat er vorderingen waren ten laste van het departement van kolonien in Den Haag, de N.V. Soerabajasche Machinenhandel te Soerabaja, de N.V. Constructiewinkel der Vorstenlanden te Djokjakarta en de Machinen- en Werktuigenmij. de Vlijt te Semarang. Aan zijn weduwe en zonen werd door de familieraad last en volmacht gegeven te samen ais ieder afzonderlijk de zaken der firma waar te nemen en te behartigen. In de fabriek van de firma werd toen geweven op honderdnegenentachtig getouwen.

Een zuster van Cornelis is gehuwd met de oom van Cornelis' vrouw.
