Service man of the 4th Linie Regiment, deadly wounded in action at 12.09.1914. He has been burried at Elewijt.

"Gesneuveld te Elewijt 21 j oud
Tram kwam langs de Burgerschool naar de Noordstraat, traag in de bocht.
In college was een lazaret ingericht.
We springen op de trede van de tram en riepen om Jozef Breemersch
Nooit kwam er antwoord, dan gingen wij naar het college totdat het bericht kwam.
Watteeuw uit Roeselare, een kameraad van Jozef, zegde ons na de oorlog dat hij nog zegde "O.L.V. help mij..."

Zijn portret werd genomen door Alfons Baert, fotograaf, die naast ons woonde.

Dienst Gesneuvelden op zondag 11 september 1921 om 11 u 15' in rouwkapel Broeders vn de christelijke Scholen, dan rouwstoet door Leenstraat, Delaerestraat, Ooststraaat, Markt, St-michielskerk, Wallenstraat, Groenestraat naar kerkhof.

3. Vlaggen
4. Geestelijkheid met kruis
5.Lijken van de 11 gesneuvelde soldaten
6. Militairen van het stadsgarnizoen
