"In den jaer 1819 , den derden julien, ten drij uren in den naer middag voor ons Ange Angillia, Borgemeester en ambtenaer van den burgerlijken Stand van het gemeente van Rumbeke heeft gecompareert petrus Van tomme, werkman, oud acht en dertig jaeren, woonende te Rumbeke, den welcken ons heeft vertoont een kind van het mans geslacht, gisteren ten acht uren s'avonds gebooren, van hem comparant en van Theresia Raes, sijne hijsvrouwe, oud negenendertig jaeren en aen hetwelke hij verklaert heeft te willen geven de voornaem van Joannes robertus. Deze verooninge en verklaeringe gedaen in tegewoordigheid van franciscus De Grijse, oud dertig jaeren, wever, en louis de Clercq, oud vijf en dertig jaeren, schrijver, Beijde woonende te Rumbeke, ende naer voorlezinge van desen act aen hem gedaen, den vader heeft verklaert niet te kunnen schrijven, de getuigen hebben benevens ons getekent."
