L'an dix huit cent huit, le premier du mois mars, à cinq heures du soir, par devant nous Pierre Louis Fockedey maire, officier de l'Etat civil de la commune de Rumbeke, arrondissement de Courtray, département de la Lys, est comparu Pierre Vantomme, âgé de vingt huit ans, né et domicilié à Rumbeke, journalier, le quel nous a présenté un enfant du sexe masculin, né hier le vingt neuf du mois de février, à onze heures du soir, de lui déclarant , et de Thérèse Raes, son épouse, agée de vingt neuf ans, née à Rumbeke, et au quel il a déclaré vouloir donner le prénom de Pierre.
Les dites déclaration et présentation faites en présence de Pierre Jacques Vantomme, grand'père de l'enfant, âgé de soixante ans, tisserand, et de'Eugène Jean Degryse, âgé de trente six ans, brasseur, tout deux domiciliés à Rumbeke, les quels ont déclaré ne savoir signé exepté le second témoin qui a signé avec nous après qu'il leur en a été faite lecture.
