Notes about Wouter Jans de With

In het boekwerkje 'Hilvarenbeek in Heden en verleden' schrijft N.F. Heerkens e .a. in juni 1970 op blz 93 dat het huis ten Noorden van 'DE SWAEN' in Hilvarenbeek eigendom is geweest van Wouter Jans de With. Zijn vrouw, Marie en haar broer Jacob kregen dit huis uit erfdeling op 24 januari 1623 van haar vader Geraert Peter Geraert Hermans (Noeijens). In dit huis zitten nog muurankers uit 1614. Het huis werd omschreven als een 'schoon en excellent getimmert' huis, dat tijdens het leven van Wouter Jans de With werd omgedoopt tot 'Stad Mechelen' ofwel 'Mechelen'. Na Wouters overlijden verkoopt de weduwe het huis aan Peter Antonis van den Kieboom. NB via de kerkeboeken nog controleren of Wouter Jans de With de vader is van Joannes Wouter de With, kerk.huw. [393] te Hilvarenbeek waarschijnlijk in 1634 met
