Wybe Siercks Cnossen is in 1758 gebruiker van de stemmende sate 10 te Hommerts, sedert 1768 van stem 28 aldaar, de familieboerderij. Deze blijktin 1788 geheel in zijn bezit te zijn gekomen. Tien jaar later staan zijnzes dan nog in leven zijnde kinderen als eigenaar te boek. In 1764 wil Wybe 3/8 delen van zijn sate van 150 pondematen kopen. Op deze koop wordt echter door Eagle Tyttes het niaer* gelegd. In 1766 ruilt Wybe land onder Hommerts met Pieter Alles; in 1767 ver¬koopt hij 4 ½ pondemaat bij de kerk aldaar aan Epeus van Hylkema. In 1772 zal Meinte Wybes twee pondematen land kopen van Eagle Tie¬tes en Ekke Ates, voogden over de weeskinderen van Ate Ekkes. Op deze verkoop legt WybeSiercks als bloedverwant van de verkoper het niaer. Drie jaar later verkoopt Wybe evenwel twee pondematen in een stuk van tien aan Meinte Wybes. Mogelijk is dit het zelfde land en heeft Wybe zich toch nog bedacht. We treffen Wybe nog aan in 1777 en in 1780, wanneer hij samen met Jelle Nauta, schoonvader van zijn zoon Sjirk, een „camer" (is klein huis) koopt. *Niaer = bij verkoop moet. het eerst aan hem worden aangeboden; recht van eerste koop.
