De ouders van Hendrik waren lid van de NSB. Uit een krantenbericht blijkt, dat hij lid was van de Nationale Jeugdstorm Streek Amsterdam. Als jonge jongen werd hij gestuurd naar het Oostfront, waar hij op 17 jarige leeftijd kwam te overlijden.
