De huwelijksakte 67 van CORNELIS DE MOS en IMMETJE JOL wordt ondertekend door de bruidegom met "C de Mos", de bruid met "I Jol", zijn vader met "C Mos", zijn moeder Chieltje met "G Spaans". De getuigen tekenen met "C Mos, 34 jr." resp. "J Mos, 30 jr.". Dit moeten zijn oudere broers zijn Cornelis de Mos (1863) en Job de Mos (1868), die bij het huwelijk in 1894 van zijn broer LEENDERD (1870) nog als getuigen worden genoemd en tekenen met "C de Mos" en "J de Mos".

Notes about Cornelis de Mos

Cornelis de Mos (geb. 19-02-1873, akte 536), is overleden op 16-02-1898 (oud 24 jr.), 4 weken na zijn huwelijk. Zijn lichaam wordt pas op 04-07-1898 dood gevonden in de Noordzeehaven van IJmuiden (akte 81 gem. Velsen resp. akte 1807 gem. 's-Gravenhage): "Op 5 juli kwam vanuit het IJmuiden het bericht dat daar een in verre staat van ontbinding zijnd lichaam was aangespoeld. Het bleek de vierde zoon uit het gezin Mos te zijn. Cornelis, net twee weken getrouwd met Immetje Jol, kon slechts aan de restanten van zijn kleren worden herkend".

Ook zijn 2 broers vinden op 16-02-1898 de dood: Job de Mos (oud 30 jr., geb. 21-03-1868), dood aangespoeld gevonden op het strand van Noordwijk aan Zee op 28-03-1898 en Maarten de Mos (oud 17 jr., geb. 08-05-1880), overleden op de Noordzee bij IJmuiden. Hij werd op 21 februari, 5 dagen na de ramp, door een baggermolen, die tussen de pieren van IJmuiden aan het werk was, opgehaald. Familieleden vertrokken daarop naar IJmuiden voor identificatie van het lichaam.

Cornelis (1873) was net 4 weken voor zijn overlijden, op 19-01-1898 (oud 24 jr., akte 67), gehuwd met Immetje Jol (oud 22 jr., geb. 1875, ovl. 14-11-1903, oud 28 jr.).

NB. Er zijn geen geboorte- of huwelijksaktes van CORNELIS MOS gevonden, wel van CORNELIS DE MOS (akte 536). De overlijdensakte van deze Cornelis (1873) vermeldt weer als familienaam "MOS", e.v. Immetje Jol, zoon van Cornelis Mos + Gieltje Spaans (met een "G"), zijn vader doet hierin aangifte als "Cornelis MOS, 60 jaren, vader". De huwelijksakte van Cornelis (1873) vermeldt ook Immetje Jol (bruid) en Chieltje Spaans (moeder), maar hierin is de vader "Cornelis DE MOS", zoals ook in zijn geboorteakte.

NB. In hetzelfde gezin van Cornelis de Mos (1838) + Chieltje Spaans (1837), worden 4 zoons geboren met de naam Cornelis. Nadat de 1e Cornelis (1860-1860, oud 2 mnd.) en de 2e Cornelis (1861-1862, oud 6 mnd.) zijn overleden, worden er nog 2 kinderen geboren met dezelfde voornaam:

De 3e Cornelis (geb. 29-03-1863, akte 800, H. 21-12-1887, akte 1136, Ovl. 13-02-1936, 72 jr., akte 622). Hij was vernoemd naar zijn grootvader van vaderskant, Cornelis de Mos (1805).

De 4e Cornelis (Geb. 19-02-1873, akte 536, H. 19-01-1898, akte 67, Ovl. 04-07-1898, akte 81 gem. Velsen + akte 1807 den Haag) was vernoemd naar zijn grootvader van moederskant, Cornelis Spaans.
