Notes about Jacob Janz Hensbrouck

Jacob Jansz woonde op de Hooch in Pijnacker. In 1630 heeft hij de betaling van de smalrente van zijn vader overgenomen. In 1638 en 1639 koopt hij van zijn neef Garrebrant Seytsz en zijn nicht Niesgen Seyts Hensbrouck stukken grond in Pijnacker uit de boedel van zijn ouders. Na zijn overlijden wordt in 1651 zijn onroerend goed, bestaande uit 11 partijen, getaxeerd voor 11025 Car.guldens. (Rechterl.prot.Pijnacker dl.12, fol.102). Jacob Jansz had waarschijnlijk geen kinderen. Hij werd evenals zijn broer Pieter Jansz ook wel Monich (=monnik) genoemd, vanwege een leefregel die zij navolgden. Er was in Pijnacker een Munnikenhuis en er is nu nog een Munnikenweg.
