Volgens ons is hij tijdens zijn werk in Duitsland door de Duitsers vernederd, getreiterd en gekleineerd. Zij hebben hem zodanig mishandeld dat hij jarenlang in Heliomare moest herstellen. Dat klopt, hij is tewerkgesteld bij I.H. Kellner, Bäckerei Hannover, Friedrich-Ebert-Platz. 18: tot 29-04-1945
