      bij het huwelijk worden Anne Veenstra en Cornelis Tingen in hun kwaliteit van voogd en toeziend voogd van Jan Kaspers vermeld, welke beiden hun toestemming tot het sluiten van het huwelijk gaven. Zowel Jan als Hilligje kwam uit een gezin van veenarbeiders. Van 1899 t/m 1916 heeft dit gezin in Essen (D) gewoond waar vader Kaspers op de mijn heeft gewerkt. Tijdens de 1e wereldoorlog keerden zij terug naar Drenthe, vanwaar zij in 1920 naar Limburg vertrokken waar ze op de Kaalheide gingen wonen. Na eerst in Kerkrade en in Ubach over Worms (alwaar ze op 5-5-1934 werden ingeschreven, Kantstraat 21 UoW) te hebben gewoond verhuisden ze op 22 augustus 1934 naar Schaesberg vanwaar zij op 2 augustus 1935 weer vertrokken naar Hoogeveen. Later keerden zij weer terug naar Schaesberg alwaar zij op 12 september 1951 hun 55 jarig huwelijksfeest vierden.
