Mrs. J. T. Truitt Claimed By Death At Rural Home

Funeral Services Held Friday Morning From Sardis

Mrs. J. T. Truitt, 59, well known Colquitt county resident, died early Thursday night at her home on Moultrie, Route 2., after an illness of approximant four years.

Funeral services were conducted from Sardis church at 11 o'clock Friday morning with the Rev. Jesse H. Weeks in charge.

Interment followed in the Sardis Cemetery.

Mrs. Truitt was born in Berrien County, Ga., on October 12, 1881.

She was a devout member of the China Grove Baptist Church.

Death came at6: 35 p. m. Thursday.

Surviving are two sons, J. D. Truitt of Barney, Route 1, and F. C. Truitt of Moultrie, Route 2; four daughters, Mrs. Alma Key of Eaton Park, Fla., Mrs. Alice McDonald of Hahira, Route 2, Mrs. Blanche Alderman of Moultrie, Route 2, and Mrs. Gladys Touchton of Quitman, Route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Teems of Ojus, Fla., and Mrs. Phoebe Sorrel of Adel, Route 1; two brothers, Tollie Giddens of Moultrie, Route 2, and Aaron Giddens of Barney, Route 1.
In addition, she is survived by 18 grandchildren.
