Dorothy Jeanette McMurphy Milam Hendrix

MOULTRIE — Dorothy Jeanette McMurphy Milam Hendrix, 73, of Old Adel Road, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery.

The Rev. Andy Cashwell will officiate.

Casketbearers will be Steve Tatch, Mark Milam, J.J. McMillan, Howard Melton, Ricky Hufstetler and Richard Hancock.

Mrs. Hendrix was born June 16, 1933, in Thomas County to the late Lillie Mae Kennedy McMurphy and the late William Mack McMurphy.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry S. Milam Sr. and Bobby R. Hendrix; a daughter, Elaine Milam Barnes; a son-in-law, George Howell; three brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.

The family may be contacted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. McMillan, 4501 Old Adel Road in Moultrie.
