AGED WIDOW PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Lizzetta VonFange Died at Home after Six Years of Illness.

Mrs. Lizzetta VonFange, 76, widow of John D. VonFange, one of the oldest

residents of the county, died this morning at 8:45 o'clock at the family

home near Waymansville, following a long illness. She had been ailing for

about six years and lately her condition became critical.

Mrs. VonFange was born in Jackson county, but came to Bartholomew county

with her parents when she was five years old. The family located in the

Waymansville community. She was married in 1878 and since had lived in the

present home. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church and a

highly esteemed woman.

Surviving are four sons and four daughters, Martin, west of Columbus,

Ben, Fred, of Walesboro, John at home, Mrs. Albert Welmer, of Jonesville

Sarah (Clara), Hannah and Selma, at home. There are 11 grandchildren, one

brother, August Nentrup, of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Schenck,

of Kansas, and Mrs. William VonFange, of Lincoln, Kan.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the

home and at 2:30 o'clock at the Evangelical Lutheran church here with the

Rev. A.E. Brauer in charge. Burial will be made in Garland Brook cemetery.
