John VonFange Passes Away After Stroke of Paralysis

in Home in Wayne Township

John D. Vonfange, ago 70 years, on of the prominent, and best know

farmers of his neighborhood, died Sunday morning at 3 o'clock at his home

in Wayne township, death being due to a paralytic stroke received two weeks

age. Some three years ago Mr. Vonfange suffered, a stroke of paralysis, but

from the effects of this he recovered so that until the time of the second

stroke he had been in fairly good health. From the effects of the second

stroke he never fully rallied and lingered until death came to his relief.

Mr. Vonfange was born in the neighborhood in which he died, and of which

he had been a resident all of his life. Forty years ago he and his bride

began housekeeping in the house in which they have since lived in the

Whitecreek neighborhood. Besides his widow the deceased leaves four sons

and four daughters, Mart, Ben and Fred, living near Walesboro, Mrs. Albert

Welmer of Jonesville, and John, Clara, Hannah and Selma living at home.

He also leaves five brothers and two sisters, two of the brothers and one

sister living in Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at the house Wednesday morning at 9:00

o'clock and from the Whitecreek German Lutheran church at 10:30 o'clock

conducted by Rev. George P. Baumgart. Interment will be made in Garland

Brook.
