Notes about Shulamit Sol Dodo

Sol was born on March 23, 1934 in Tangier, Morocco.

When she was 14, in the summer of 1949, she joined a group that went to a "training camp" in France. In December 1949 she immigrated to Israel.

She went to "Kineret" with other immigrants from other countries. There she learned and worked in "Aliat Ha'Noar". When she reached 18 she joined "NAHAL" group that was sent to Sde Nehemia kibbutz. At the end of her military service she stayed at the kibbutz for several years.

She missed her family (which in the mean time immigrated to Israel), So she joined them in Kiryat Shmona.

in 1958, She met Shimon, and several months later they got married. she had 5 children: Ronit, Nelly, Etti, Moshe and Yoni.

She lived most of her life in Kiryat Shmona. Part of the time she lived in Netania, Michmoret and Holon.

In 1994 She was first diagnosed with Cancer in her breast. For 7 long and hard years she fought every tumor that was discovered in a courageous way and a lot of optimism. She died on June 21, 2001.
