(2) He is married to (Not public).
They got married on May 1, 1957 at קרית שמונה, ישראל, he was 32 years old.
The couple were divorced from 1968 at לונדון, אנגליה, בריטניה.
Ya'acov was born in Arsila, Morocco in 1925, and was the fifth of eight children. He learned in "Aliance" school and "Ecole Professionelle" Until 1945. He was active in the "scouts" movement. As a youngster he was a boxer in the local club in Tangier. He worked with the "Mossad le'Alia B" and helped to convince people to immigrate to Israel (1948-1951).
In 1951 He immigrated to Israel, with his brother, Shlomo. They joined the family (which already was in Israel), in Givat Haim Kibbutz. Those were the days that the kibbutz movement split into two separate ideological groups the members of Givat Haim wanted to expel Menahem, one of the brothers, for being part of the "wrong" group. Shlomo told them that the family is the only party they know and the family stood as one and left the kibbutz.
They went to Afikim (after David Hazan recommended of it), there they met another immigrants from Morocco. After a few months, in which they learned the language, worked in agriculture and building. In the summer of 1951 they went with the other immigrants from Morocco to establish "Ha'Bonim Yagev" kibbutz (later it changed its name to Kfar-Aza).
He was sent in the Army to the engineering corpse. In 1954, They left (like other Moroccan immigrants) because they didn't get along with the Egyptian immigrants. From Kfar-Aza the family went to other borderline settlement: Kiryat Shmona. There they continued their pioneer ideology. During those years (1954-1955) Ya'acov learned in "Bet Berl" a course for Juvenile guides. After that he was responsible for the Sharon area for the "Noar Ha'Oved" movement. He rejoined his family in Kiryat Shmona. His First job there was the Manager of the immigration department (1956-1962). There Ya'acov developed his political skill by becoming a member of the labor party. He married Betty Shayngesicht in 1957. In 1962, Ya'acov went with his wife to live in England (mainly, because of a medical reason. Betty didnt got used to the climate in Kiryat Shmona, and her doctor suggested changing the environment). He worked as a clerk in a London Travel agency "Apal Travel". In 1965, He returned to Kiryat Shmona to become the secretary of the party in Kiryat Shmona (1965-1970). In this job he helped other immigrants like him to get an apartment, and solved their problems against the burocracy of the new country. In 1970 He married Mercedes Elmaleh (Whom he knew from Tangier. The two families lived in the same building. Ya'acov was Mercedes's guide in the "scouts" movement). After their marriage they moved to Jerusalem. Ya'acov became treasurer of "Eitanim" Hospital for mental illness. He worked there for more than 20 years, until his retirement in 1994.
In 1997 he had a major heart attack and abypas operation. For two years his condition deteriorated until he passed away on 1999 from a heart failure.
