Linda (Taylor) Matych, Jan and I went to visit Erma Taylor on October 14, 2008. Linda found her name on a family tree posted on the Internet on Ancestry.com that her granddaughter Sheri had put there.

Erma was 92 years old at that time and living with her daughter Judy at Clark Lake Jackson, Michigan. Erma was one of the most delightful ladies you would ever want to meet. Her mind was as sharp as a tack and as we look at old picturessome of the same that I have it would bring back memories of her childhood in Manchester, Tennessee. She told us that on her honeymoon trip to California, they went by Mount Rushmore and one face was finished and they were starting thesecond. I can't get over how nice she was. Linda, Jan and I were so glad we had the opportunity to meet her.
