Usually when there is a conflict between a township on the one hand & a village on the other, I opt for the township. Why? It seems people who live in rural areas identify with the nearest town, e.g. I was raised in Olmsted Twp.,Cuyahoga Co., OH. If someone asked me where I lived, I would say 'Olmsted Falls.' My mother, Rose Navorska died in Orange Twp., Ashland Co., OH. Her death certificate, though, indicates she died in the city of Ashland, OH. I do notknow why people refuse to acknowledge the townships, but that seems to be common. My guess is Leona really was born in Oliver Twp. & Oliver Twp. was near the village of Kalkaska. - D.A.Navorska - xxx Aug MCMXCVIII - Irving TX
