"Jean Wood called to tell me that Bernice (Alwood) Armstrong passed away today in her home. As most of you know she has been doing poorly for some time. She slipped away quietly and painlessly. Her wish is to be cremated and plans for amemorial have not been made as yet. Bernice was such a proud stalwart of the Alwood family and she will be missed but always remembered. Lee Burns"
