"Harold A. Wentworth April 5, 1918 - July 3, 1997

Ledyard [IA] - Funeral service for Harold A. Wentworth of Ledyard was held in the United Methodist Church at Elmore, MN, Monday, July 7, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Wesley Johnson officiating. Interment was in the RiverviewCemetery at Elmore, MN, the Winter Funeral Home of Buffalo Center in charge of arrangements.

Casketbearers were Brian Blair, Fred Bland, Mike Bland, Jeff Koons, Darrin Schealler, and Shasta Wentworth.

Harold died Thursday, July 3, (1997) at the Fairmont (MN) Community Hospital at the age of 79 years.

Harold A. Wentworth, son of Ray and Alberdena Lamping Wentworth, was born April 5, 1918 in King Township, Winnebago County, IA, and attended the Ledyard school. On May 19, 1938, he was united in marriage to Helen Kessel, and the couplefarmed in the Elmore and Blue Earth, MN, area. They then moved to Ledyard, and he worked for the Kossuth County maintenance departmento until 1953. He was then employed at the Green Giant Co. from 1953 until retiring in 1980. Harold wasa member of the Ledyard United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Ledyard; a son, Arlen of Boone; and daughters, Janice, Mrs. Delbert Schealler of Burt; JoAnn, Mrs. Maurice Blair, Swea City; Roberta, Mrs. Mike Koons, Fairmont, MN; and Brenda Bland of Ruthven. Thereare 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors are sisters, Lillian, Mrs. Elmer Hamlin, Satellite, Beach, FL; Iona Richardson, Swea City; Pearl Lilyard, Coronado, CA; and Vivian McDermath, Wolf Foint, MT; and three brothers, John of Le Sueur, MN, Melvin, Lakota; andMelvin, Hutchinson, MN. There are also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and a brother, Donald.'

Sunday visitors of Mrs. Wentworth were Maurice and Joan Blair of Swea City.'
