'Bertha C. 'Betty' Hoffman, Elk Run Heights- Services for Bertha C. 'Betty' Hoffman, 79, of 135 Sutton Ave., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery,Waterloo.

Mrs. Hoffman died Monday morning at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born June 19, 1904, at Butler County, daughter of Herman and Anna Groan Cordes. She married Robert Green in 1921 and they were later divorced. She married George L. Hoffman Jan. 18, 1938, at Manchester. He died in 1964. She wasemployed for 32 years at Rath Packing Co.

She is survived by a son, Russel L. Hoffman of Webster City; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Stock of 135 Sutton Ave; four grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Hennie Vanderlan of Charles City.

Friends may call at Chapel of Memories West funeral Home in Waterloo until 9 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.'
