Lester William Harms

Lester William Harms, 87, of Paoli, died Monday, April 4, 2005. Funeral services are Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. at Holyoke Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Bill Beard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Sterling.
He was born Feb. 26, 1918, at the family home south of Fleming to William and Susie Harms. He grew up on that farm with his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

On June 22, 1938, he married Lena V. Vance in Julesburg.

He farmed his entire life, the last two years from his armchair. In 1948, he moved his wife and four children from a farm south of Sterling to Paoli.

Mr. Harms attended Holyoke Assembly of God Church. He loved to farm, hunt and fish.
