Walter LeMoine Harms, age 70, was born September 12, 1940 in Sterling to Lester W. and Lena (Vance) Harms. He died March 13, 2011 at Regent Park Nursing Home in Holyoke.

Walt served in the Marine Corps in Riverside, California.

In 1962 he married Carol Sue Sanders. To this union, two children were born: Walter Jackson and Sarah Milissa. He married Marcene Perry in April 1978.

Walt was preceded in death by his father, Lester Harms and brother LeRoy Harms.

He is survived by his wife, Marcy Harms of Holyoke; mother, Lena Harms of Holyoke; sisters, Ryvona Stephens and husband David of Emmett, Idaho and Judi Deusterman and husband Daniel of Holyoke; children, Jack Harms of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Missy Kelley and husband Mark of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Katie and William.

Walt was a joy to all who knew him and will be missed by many.
