Paul was a cook in a lumber camp before retiring in 1930. He married Celia Pellerin on 21 August 1912 in Bessemer, and they had Lloyd, Isabel, Erwin, Donald, Clarence, Russell, Raymond, Gerald, and Alvin. Paul was the son of Fred and Lizzie Corn Kruger from Germany and Michigan. He died from maniac depressive insanity at the age of 67 years 1 month and 25 days.
