"DICK BEUCKENS
Funeral services will be held at 2.m. Wednesday at the First Reformed Church for Dick Beuckens, 71, of 1308 W. 18th St., who died Saturday at a local hospital.

He was born May 3, 1892, in the Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1912. He had lived in Sioux Falls since 1955 and was employed in the landscaping business.

He is survived by the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Moench, Fergus Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Arnolf Anderson, Sioux Falls, eight sons, Earl, Ted, Francis and Marvin, Sioux Falls; Edward, Sebastopal, Calif.; Harold, Starbuck, Minn.; Harvey, Hlffman, Minn., and Alvin, St. Cloud, Minn. (Benz)"

It is my hypothesis Dick is an Anglicization of Dick's birth name. There are several imigrant individuals named Dick in my data base whose birth name is Dirk. - D. A. Navorska - iii Feb MMXXII - in proximo Grove, OK.
