Larry James Edzards, age 70, of Stover, died Friday, March 30, 2012.

He was born August 8, 1941, in Sioux Falls, S. D., a son of Clarence John "C.J." and Matilda Eva "Tillie" Wieman Edzards, both deceased. On May 4, 1962, at the Stover First Baptist Church, Larry married Lela Mae Davidson, who survives at their home.

He was a 1959 graduate of Morgan County R-I High School in Stover.

In 1951, Larry and his dad began Edzard's Implement in Stover, which Larry continued to operate until his health failed him this past year.

He was a member and Deacon of the Stover First Baptist Church.

Larry truly loved his work and looked forward to going to auctions where he could buy used farm machinery and scrap.

He is also survived by three daughters, Annette (Dr. Lindell) Reed, Blue Springs; Dr. Vicky (Dr. David) Edzards-Wang, Medford, Ore. and Monica (Scott) Marshall, Stover; two sisters, Mardella Raines, Bryant, Ark. and Bonita Edzards, Kansas City; three grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Titus, Independence; Tesa Reed (fiance Joseph Guevel), Grain Valley and Tyler Reed, two great granddaughters, Kylie and Kaylynn Titus, and a nephew, Jeremy (Lindsey) Raines, and daughters, Parker, Peyton and Lily of Benton, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at the Stover First Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Smith and Dr. Lindell Reed officiating. Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover First Baptist Building Fund. Arrangements by Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
