Albert H. Weeldreyer, son of Harm and Grace (Jans) Weeldreyer, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Good Samaritan Assisted Living Center.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Weeldreyer, Sioux Falls; children, Dennis (Helen) Weeldreyer and Lois (Kenneth) Klinger, both of Lennox, SD, and Tim (Kathy) Weeldreyer, Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Harm and Grace Weeledreyer; and brothers, Miendert, John and Edward.

Albert Hilko Weeldreyer, son of Harm and Grace (Jans) Weeldreyer, was born August 13, 1918, near Monroe, SD. He grew up in the area and attended school at the Grant Township rural school. On December 12, 1939, Albert married Florence Wieman in Canistota, SD. He farmed near Monroe and Canistota for 40 years. Albert retired from farming in 1979. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1980. Albert was a member of First Reformed Church.

In his free time Albert enjoyed taking care of his garden, where he especially loved to grow roses, and woodworking in his shop in his basement. He also took joy in going fishing and camping with family and friends. Above all, Albert loved to spend time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all those who shared his life.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Florence Weeldreyer, Sioux Falls; children, Dennis (Helen) Weeldreyer and Lois (Kenneth) Klinger, both of Lennox, SD, and Tim (Kathy) Weeldreyer, Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Todd (Sara) Klinger, Lennox, SD, Teresa (Chris) Beach, Lennox, SD, Chirs (Melissa) Weeldreyer, Grand Prairie, TX, Lindsey (JJ) Vavra, Harlingen, TX, Emily Weeldreyer, Atlanta, GA, Laura (Larry) Stoffers, Worthing, SD, Linda (Gary) Klock, Chancellor, SD, Lisa (Roger) Bowie, Sioux Falls, SD, JoLynn (David) Roush, Portmouth, VA; 14 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kirsten, Abigail, Carter, Colin, Kristi (Derek) Droge, Katie, Justin, Elizabeth, Margaret, Ethan, Jillian, Sophia and Sydney; two step-great-grandchildren, Cory (Devin) Stoffers and Jackie (Courtney) Rust; and five step-great-great-grandchildren, Alexis, Danielle, Mitchell, Ashlynn and Lincoln.
