Florence's Obituary
Sioux Falls, SD ~ Florence G. Weeldreyer, age 99, died on Friday, August 25, 2017 in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at First Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, SD with burial at the Monroe Reformed Cemetery in Monroe, SD. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Monday at Miller Funeral Home Westside Chapel with her family greeting friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Florence Gertrude Wieman was born March 2, 1918 in Canistota, SD to Elkie and Mattie (Hoiten) Wieman. She was raised and received her education in Canistota, graduating from Canistota high School in 1936. On December 12, 1939, Florence was united in marriage with Albert Hilko Weeldreyer, in Canistota, SD. The couple farmed together near Monroe and Canistota for 40 years, until Albert's retirement from farming in 1979. Florence and Albert then made their home in Sioux Falls in 1980. Albert passed away on April 11, 2010. Florence was a member of First Reformed Church.

In her free time Florence enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins play baseball, camping, fishing and traveling with Albert; especially the trips to multiple World Fairs. She also was gifted at doing crafts and embroidery work and above all, Florence loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who shared her life.

Grateful for having shared her life are her three children: Dennis (Helen) Weeldreyer of Sioux Falls, SD, Lois (Kenneth) Klinger of Lennox, SD, and Tim Weeldreyer, Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Todd (Sara) Klinger, Sioux Falls, SD, Teresa (Chris) Beach, Lennox, SD, Chris (Melissa) Weeldreyer, Midlothian, TX, Lindsey (JJ) Vavra, Harlingen, TX, Emily Weeldreyer, Atlanta, GA, Laura (Larry) Stoffers, Worthing, SD, Linda (Gary) Klock, Chancellor, SD, Lisa (Roger) Bowie, Sioux Falls, SD, JoLynn (David) Roush, Chesapeake, VA; 15 great-grandchildren, Brandon (Brittany), Kirsten, Abigail, Carter, Colin, Noah, Kristi (Derek), Katie, Justin, Elizabeth, Margaret, Ethan, Jillian, Sophia and Sydney; three great-great grandchildren: Klaire & Sadie Droge and Baylor Klinger; two step-great-grandchildren, Cory (Devin) Stoffers and Jackie (Courtney) Rust; and five step-great-great-grandchildren, Alexis, Danielle, Mitchell, Ashlynn and Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Kay Wieman of Marian, SD.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents, Elkie and Mattie (Hoiten) Wieman; husband, Albert; sister, Theresa E. Gunderson; and two brothers Earl and Hilbert Wieman.
