TOMMY D. RODGERS, 74, went home to his Lord and joined the love of his life Friday, May 11, 2018. Born Nov. 9, 1943 in New Hope, Ark., he was a son of the late Therman and Stella Rodgers. He was a member of The Chapel and travelled all over the United States. He travelled extensively for his daughter Kristina "Rodgers" a contemporary Christian recording artist. He retired from Lockheed-Martin after 33 years as a Lab Technician. Surviving are his children, Rick (Gloria Bassett) Rodgers, Kim Bastian, Kristina (Bryan) Hayden; grandchildren, Nick, Marisa, Corey, Mia, Brennan, and Summer. Tommy was also preceded in death by his wife Susan in 2014; and by a grandson and two brothers. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., with viewing one hour prior to service. Viewing also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
