"Edward H. Heetland (1918-2010)

IOWA FALLS - Edward H. Heetland, 91, of Iowa Falls, died Tuesday, May 18, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home, Iowa Falls.

He was born Aug. 2, 1918, in Ackley, son of Herman and Bonnie Whitmore Heetland. On Aug. 2, 1943, he married Lilian Pannell in London, England. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Heetland graduated from Ackley High School, then served in the U.S. Army and was at the Battle of the Bulge. He worked in the foundry department of John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works.

Survived by: two sisters, Phyllis Duit and Maurine Lindaman, both of Iowa Falls.

Preceded in death by: three sisters; and two brothers.

Private family services: will be held. Surls Funeral Home in charge of arrangements."
