Newspaper clipping of Bonnie's obituary:

"Page 6 of The Ackley World Journal, published in Ackley, Iowa on Thursday, March 17th, 1988 Added by: Genealogy Buff on 28 Mar 2020 [Bonnie's Find-a-Grave site]

Bonnie Heetland
Bonnie Ethel Whitmore was born January 28, 1893 at Red Oak, the daughter of Ed and Donna Whitmore. She grew up near Chapin and attended school at Edgewood in Iowa Falls. She taught school near Chapin. On December 25, 1914, Bonnie was married to Herman Heetland. They spent their married life in the Ackley area.

Survivors included four children, Edward of Waterloo, Mrs. Phyllis Sawdon of Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Gloy (Maurine) Lindaman of Iowa Falls and Herman H. Heetland of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman on December 12, 1983; on son, Ronald, and two daughters, Kathryan and Julanne.

Mrs. Heetland passed away March 7 at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton reaching the age of 95 years, one month and nine days.

Funeral services were conducted March 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home with Rev. William Rosenberg officiating. Miss Helen Heinz was organist and singers were Mrs. John Klein and Mrs. Leslie Mooi. Serving as pallbearers were Allen Lindaman, Dennis Lindaman, Rodney Lindaman, James Duit, Ronald Duit, and Kendall Lindaman. Bruce Off was an honorary pallbearer. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery."

It is my hypothesis the Kathryan listed in the obituary is Bonnie's sister, not Bonnie's child. - D. A. Navorska - xxix Sept MMXX - in proximo Grove, OK.
