Geertje overlijdt als weduwe van Douwe Visser. Bron: Digitalestamboom.nl, scan van de BS-overlijdensakte, volgens welke ze in Donkerbroek is geboren. Op 21 juli 1887 vestigt Geertje zich vanuit Beetsterzwaag bij haar kersverse echtgenoot Douwe Visser in Leeuwarden, Nieuwe Oosterstraat B 30 resp. B 32. Op 18 juli 1888 verhuist het gezin naar Sneek. Op 1 november 1892 ver-huist het gezin van Rotterdam naar Leeuwarden, Hulstbuurt Q 16, op 23 december 1893 van hier naar Maastricht. Bron: Bevolkingsregister Leeuwarden, internet. In maart 1911 wonen Geertje en haar man Douwe Visser in Ahlen, Duitsland.
