"Lammert Modder -- and Anna Tuin were married in Holland in 1896. In 1901 they came to America and settled in Freeport, Illinois, first. In a few years they came to this area and moved to the farm northwest of George that is now being farmed by George Modder.

Their children were Anna (Mrs. Cornelius Schol); Harm (married to Mary Julius); and George (married Jennie Harms)."
