George Alvey
Source: Author: Russell, Lee, Title: Annotated Alvey/Behm FGS, (Publication location: Muncie IN, Publisher: L.R., Publication date: xv Nov MCMXCIII)
Lee Russell writes, "he [George Alvey] ... and another son George who m. Mary Miller?" - xv Nov MCMXCIII
I have 2 George Alvey's married to Mary Miller. Could it be that the George E Alvey named in the 1903-1904 Muncie city directory is this George Alvey? The city directory has a (Clara Miller) associated with the name of George E. Alvey.
Lee Russell cites the 1903-1904 Muncie city directory, "George E. Alvey (Clara Miller.) conductor Union Traction Co (Interurban.) 718 W. charles." - xv Nov MCMXCIII
Lee Russell adds this note on the above citation when I returned my typed version of her note to her, "probably George is son of Geo - Eliz Behm Alvey." - xi Jan MCMXCIV
Lee Russell adds annotation to the directory citatation, "next door of George Brooks who apparently bought the creamery on Kilgore which Charles Alvey started in Muncie." - xv Nov MCMXCIII
The Charles Alvey who started the creamery is the uncle of this George Alvey. Charles Alvey also has a son named George.
George is not on the 1880 census with his father & mother George & Elizabeth Alvey; therefore, he must have been born later. <>
