Harm Siebrands -- the son of Peter Siebrands, married in 1910 to Julia Blum, daughter of J. C. Blum. They lived on different farms during their first years hear, then located on the John Bechler farm west of George where they farmed for many years.

Children of the Siebrands family were Alvina (Mrs. Alfred Hansman); John (unmarried); Peter (married Elaine Kruger); Herman (married Lucy Daily [sic - ought to be Pierson] ); Caroline (Mrs. Ben Dreesen)."

"Pete H. Siebrands 1916-1989

Funeral services for Pete H. Siebrands, age 73, of Doon, were held on Saturday, November 18, 1989 at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley, Iowa with interment in Hillside Cemetery in Doon; Rev. Ed Van Holland officiated.

Pete died on Wednesday, November 15, 1989 in Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 1 day.

Pete was born on March 14, 1916 in George, Iowa. He served in the Navy during World War II, and married Elayne Kruger on October 12, 1940, in Rock Rapids, Iowa.

He owned and operated Fashion Floor Covering Company in Doon, until retiring in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Loyal "Butch" of Doon; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Valeta) Wells of De Forest, Wisconsin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ben (Caroline) Dreesen of Little Rock.
