Children in the family were Annie (married Heiko H. Gruis); Winifred (Mrs. Peter A. Bloomendaal); Essie (Mrs. Ralph Lamfers); John F. (married twice, Grace Gruis and Pearl Ailts Snuttjer); Harm (married Isabel Wolfe); and Fred F. (married Ann Baxter)."
