The funeral for Edna E. Buskohl, of Milnor, North Dakota will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Milnor United Methodist Church, with Reverend Linda Baldock officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 3 to 7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at the Lakeside Cemetery, near Milnor.

Edna Elizabeth Asche, daughter of Fred and Anna (Haase) Asche was born on March 29, 1917 at Scotland, South Dakota, where she grew up and attended school. She was baptized at the Reformed Church in Scotland, and confirmed at the Evangelical Church, Wittenberg, South Dakota. Edna was united in marriage to Dick Buskohl on March 3, 1937 at Olivet, South Dakota. The couple farmed near Parker, South Dakota for thirteen years, and in February of 1950, they moved to the Milnor, North Dakota area. Edna and Dick continued to farm in the Milnor area, before moving into Milnor in 1968. Edna worked for a short time at the Milnor Public School as a janitor. Dick died on December 18, 1996. Edna continued to live in Milnor until the time of her death. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she served as the financial secretary for 17 years. She was also active with the United Methodist Women, and a member of the Milnor Garden Club. She enjoyed writing letters, gardening, reading, and traveling, but treasured time with family and friends. Edna will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Edna died on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Lisbon Area Health Services. She was 90 years old.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne (Jeanette), Milnor, Arlo (Janelle), Colfax; four daughters, Elaine (John) Warner, Sheldon, Audrey (Roy) Marmon, Coeur d' Alene, ID, Carla (Kent) Vail, West Fargo, and Verla Gibbon, Fargo; two brothers, Raymond Asche, Milnor, and Dale (Martha) Asche, Gwinner; one sister, Arlene (Donald) Wohlwend, Camano Island, WA; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-six, great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Arnold, Francis, and Harold, one sister, Ruth Yagow, one son-in-law, Marlyn Ordahl, and two granddaughters, Erin Vail and Deanna Ordahl.
