Life Legacy Ernola Feige Brookings, South Dakota

Ernola Feige was born on November 23, 1924 in Brookings, South Dakota the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Blumeyer) Glatzel. She died on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Brookview Manor in Brookings at the age of 81. Ernola was baptized in the First Lutheran Church in Brookings and also received her education in Brookings County. She was united in marriage to Theran Olson on June 23, 1943 in Brookings. After their marriage they farmed near Aurora, Bruce and the White areas until they purchased the Red Owl Store in White, SD. On February 10, 1973, she married Harold "Bill" Feige. They lived in Sioux Falls, SD where she started and retired as a floral designer with Gustaf's Greenery. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, was a long time member of Young Matrons Extension Club and a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, baking and especially spending time with family and friends. Ernola is survived by her husband Harold "Bill" Feige; her four children David Olson (Lorna) of Paullina, IA, Paula Johnson (Gary) of Brookings, SD, Jolene Townsend (Alan) of Conde, SD, Colleen Stratton (Greg) of Sioux Falls, SD; three step-children Connie Jensen (Lyle) of Bakersfield, CA, Janet Willmott of Brookings, SD, Larry Feige (Joy) of Brandon Valley, SD; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother Gene Glatzel (Doris) of Brookings, SD; two sisters Delores Haroldsen (Donald) of Bruce, SD, Donna Schwartz (Ralph) of Estelline, SD and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents first husband Theran and two grandchildren.
