[Pg. 97]

"1856 in Germany. Ten years later the family moved to Illinois where they remained for nineteen years. In 1885 they brought their family to Dale Township, to the farm southeast of George where Clifford Eberline now lives. The same yearMrs. Blumeyer died and Jan remained a widower for th remaining twenty-three years of his life. The home the Blumeyers lived in is still standing, though remodeling has been done during the years.

Mr. Blumeyer helped organize the Lyon County first Presbyterian church southeast of George.

The Children in the Jan and Hilka Blumeyer family are ... Aldrick (married Minnie Teinema) ...

An interesting family history tells us that at the time of this writing John and Hilka have 670 descendents, 587 of them living, though not all in this area."
