Florence O. Pittenger was the third child and the second daughter born to Jarvis Cullen Pittenger and Catherine May Price Pittenger.

Florence was married to Charles Jacob, son of George and Martha Ann Huffer Hoechst, on October 2, 1909 in Delaware County, Indiana (Book 18, Page 293). In 1917 Charles registered for the WW I draft in neighboring Madison County. Charles, Florence and two children, Mary Ellen and Herbert H, appear in the 1920 census for Madison County in Anderson Ward 3. Both Charles and Florence are listed in the 1930 census records as residents of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The two, however, are not listed together.

In her sisters death notice in 1973, Florence is not mentioned, only one other sister and two brothers. Apparently she died before 1973.
