"Funeral Services Held at Rake for Mrs. Joe Sandum Mrs. Joe Sandum, 66, of Rake passed away Wednesday, March 25 at her home after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, March 28, at 1:30 p.m. at Liberty Lutheran Church in Rake with Rev. G. W. Jacotison officiating. Winter Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements and interment was in West Rake cemetery.Pallbearers were Leon ard Anderson, Robert Stewart Ubbe DeBoer, Clifford Sabin, Harold Haukoos and James Ryg.

She was born Bessie Hauskin: at McCallsburg, Iowa on February 19, 1904, and was married to Joe Sandum February 19, 1927. They resided on a farm near Rake and moved into town about 30 years ago. Mr. Sandum has been employed byNorthwestern Railroad.

Survivors are her husband; five children, Mrs. Alvin (Peggy) Smidt of Buffalo Center, Mrs. Robert (LaVonne) Quame of Rake, Mrs. Leland (Glennis) Pearson of Ft. Pierre, South Dakota, Carroll of Blue Earth, Minnesota, and Boyd of Austin,Minnesota; eight grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Annie Anderson of Elmore, Minnesota. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Ole Hauskins and Carl Hauskins and a sister, Mrs. Everett (Andrea) Sleper of Lakota." <>
