"August Eisenhauer Dies Funeral to Be Friday
Funeral services for August Eisenhauer will be held at the First Congregational Church in Buffalo Center at 1:30 P. M., Friday, February 5th, following a short service at the Winter Funeral Home at 1 P. M.
Rev. John D. Engels will conduct the services and burial will be at Olena Mound cemetery. Mr. Eisenhauer died February 2nd at the Buffalo Center Hos-"

He is survived by his wife and six children,- also 19 grandchildren.

Theodore August C. Eisenhauer, son of John and Anna Eisenhauer, was born April 15, 1889, at Norden, Germany. In 1912, at the age of 23, he came to America to live with an uncle at Germania, which is now Lakota. He had learned the barber trade in Germany and was employed as a barber in Lakota. Later he purchased the Lewis Barber Shop and continued to operate his own business. On December 8, 1914, he was united in marriage to Helen Berschman at Lakota, where the young couple lived until 1920 when they moved to this community and started farming northeast of Buffalo Center. It was in this vicinity that he continued to farm until he retired in 1950 and they moved to their present home in the northeast part of town.
Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Eisenhauer, four daughters and two sons.
Although Mr. Eisenhauer's health has been impaired due to a heart ailment, he was still quite active until he became seriously ill about a month ago and on January 1 he entered the Buffalo Center hospital for medical care. His conditiongrew steadily worse and on Tuesday morning, February 2, 1960, at about 2:00 a.m. he very quietly passed away and entered into the presence of the Lord and Saviour. He had reached the age of 70 years, 9 months and 18 days.
Our departed brother was a faithful and loyal member of the First Congregational of Buffalo Center for the 30 years. On April 20, 1930, he and Mrs. Eisenhauer affiliated with this church by letter of from the Presbyterian"

"Church of Lakota. During this time he had faithfully served on the Board of Trustees and also on the Board of Deacons.
He was a good husband and father and was greatly endeared to his wife and family, as well as to his grandchildren. Mr. Eisenhauer had strong religious convictions and the Word of God was precious to him. He was devoted to his Lord and ever sought to serve him humbly. His Christian life and testimony was a strong influence to his own family and to others of like precious faith. We shall miss the warmth of his friendship that so many of us knew, and we shall miss his presence in the House of the Lord.
Mr. Eisenhauer made one trip back to his homeland in May of 1950 to visit his sisters and brothers and other relatives.
Surviving him are: his wife; four daughters, (Anna) Mrs. John Abels of Thompson; (Cora) Mrs. Joe Abels of Buffalo Center; Velma of Lincoln, Nebraska and (Dorothy) Mrs. Clifford Caltvedt of Leland. Two son, Harold and John, both of Buffalo Center. Also surviving him are 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers, all living in Germany, also survive him.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.
He also leaves to mourn his passing other relatives and his wide circle of many friends.
