Final Rites Thursday For Amos Krominga, 71

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28 from the Titonka United Methodist Church for Amos Krominga, 71. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate at the 1:30 p.m. service. Blake Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. ErnestVan Weelden, organist, will accompany Greg Michaelsen, soloist. His sons will serve as casket attendants, with interment in the Buffalo Township Cemetery.

Mr. Krominga was born Sept. 23, 1899 at Kamrar, the son of Amos Krominga Sr. and Jennie Johnson Krominga. On Dec. 1, 1920, he married to Delpha Pearl Heifner at Titonka.

In 1958 he retired from his occupation as a trucker and corn sheller. He passed away early Tuesday morning, January 26 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Surviving are his wife, four sons, Gene and Russel of Titonka and Roger and Paul of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Betty) Harms of Buffalo Center and Mrs. DeLois (Donna) Dunavan of Rockford, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; onegreat-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Claus Daniels of Clear Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and one daughter, Diane."

"Betty Bosma

Betty Bosma departed this life on July 8, 2016 at the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, at the United Methodist Church, Buffalo Center, with Pastor Deb Devine officiating. Interment was held in Graceland Cemetery, Buffalo Center.

Betty Frances Krominga was born August 9, 1926, the daughter of Amos and Pearl (Heifner) Krominga. She grew up and attended school in the Titonka area.

Betty was united in marriage to Henry D. (Hank) Harms on January 16, 1947. Together they raised two children, Vicki and Bradley. After the passing of Hank, she and Marvin D. Bosma were maried on January 5, 1972. She retired after working many years at the John Lande and Bob Hassebroek Insurance Agencies in Buffalo Center.

Betty enjoyed being outdoors on Marv's family farm, going for long walks, reading, listening to music and dancing to old-time music, especially the polka. She loved visiting with all of her family members and coffee get-togethers with her girlfriends. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Buffalo Center.

She is survived by: her daughter, Vicki Boyd (Robert) of Prescott, AZ and son, Brad Harms of Des Moines; granddaughters, Shanda Harms of Clear Lake and Elizabeth Thrasher (Brad) of Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Trinity and Buddy; daughter-in-law, Debbie Harms of Des Moines; sister, Donna Dunnavan of Machesney Park, IL; brother, Roger (Mary) of Sun City West, AZ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Henry Harms and Marvin Bosma; sister, Diane Abbas; brothers, Gene, Russell and Paul Krominga; and daughter-in-law, Marcia Harms.

Oakcrest Funeral Services assisted the family with arrangements."
