Bride a Successful School Teacher— To Live On Farm at Guckeen, Minnesota

A wedding of interest to many here took place at high noon yesterday (Wednesday), August 27 at 2:30 o'clock when Miss Annabel Bosma became the bride of Norman Oswald. The ceremony was performed at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, inthe presence of the witnesses, Miss Lillian Bosma and Richard Oswald.

The bride was attired in a gown of yellow georgette and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and lillies of the valley. Her bridesmaid wore a dress of pink flat silk crepe.

After the ceremony the bridal party returned to the home of the bride for the reception and wedding supper. Only the relatives of the contracting parties were present.

Mrs. Oswald is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Bosma. Sr. She was a member of the 1926 graduating class of tlie Buffalo "Center High School and has taught rural schools near here since that time. She is a young lady of good characterand is highly respected by all who know her.

Mr. Oswald is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Oswald, farmers of the Elmore vicinity, and the bridegroom is aii industrious young farmer lad who has been associated with his father in farming. He is a fine young man and is making good. Theywill make their home with his folks till March first when they will move to a farm near Guckeen, Minn.

Their many friends join in extending congratulatios.

Mr. and Mrs. Oswald are away on a motor trip to the Black Hills and to Yellowstone Park."

"Norman Oswald, 91 Funeral services for Norman Oswald, 91, of Frost, Minnesota were held Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Lutheran Church at Frost. Rev. Herman Heupel officiated at the service. Burial was in United LutheranCemetery at Frost. Patton Funeral Home of Blue Earth, Minnesota was hi charge of arrangements. Mr. Oswald died Monday, July 13, 1998 in St. Marys Hospital at Rochester, Minnesota.

Joyce Armon served as organist. Rev. Heupel sang and there was also congregational singing. Serving as pallbearers were Larry Anderson, Dick Bosma, Ray Bosnia, Steve Bosina, Laurice Holmseth and George Lincoln.

Norman Oswald was born December 20, 1906 in Chester, Iowa, son of Christ and Berthine (Sand) Oswald. He attended rural school. He worked on the family farm. He married Annabel Bosma on August 27, 1930 hi the Little Brown"

Norman was a member of the United Lutheran Church and held many church offices, he also served on the Frost Elevator Board, Faribault County Co-op Oil Board and United Hospital Board.

Survivors include his wife, Annabel, of Frost; a son, Ray Oswald and wife, Pat, of Frost, a daughter, Lorraine Karkela and her husband, Willard, of Prior Lake, Minnesota; a brother, Clarence Oswald of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters,Mildred Snyder and her husband, Clyde, of Faribault, Minnesota and Marjorie Mulay and her husband, Ed, of Las Vegas; four, grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several brothers- and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers." <>
