Henry Sonnenberg and his wife were born in Ostfriesland, Germany. In 1892, they emigrated from Germany to Grundy County, Iowa. In 1901 the family moved to Kossuth County, settling on a farm north of Titonka. Mr. Sonnenberg died in1925. Children born were: Teressa (Smith), Mattie (Beenken), Gertie, Chris, and Eddie."
