Born Sept. 6, 1901, in Lafayette Twp., Coshocton County, she was a daughter of Frank and Mary Etta McFarlandGeese. She was married May 27, 1920 to Raymond J. Richmond, who died Jan. 6, 1969. Mrs. Richmond was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Marjorie) Dreher and Mrs. Robert(Thelma) Sharrock, both of West Lafayette; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Deceased are two brothers. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Bonnell-O'Neill Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ireland officiating. Burial willbe in Fairfield Cemetery.

OBITUARY FOR RAYMOND Historical Newspapers > Coshocton Tribune (Coshocton, Ohio) > 1969 > January > 7 [TUESDAY] Headline: Deaths and Funerals Sub-Headline: Richmond Services Text: Services for Raymond John Richmond, 71, West Lafayette Route 1, who died Monday morning at his home of an apparent heart attack, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Bonnell-O'Neil Funeral Home in West Lafayette, with the Rev.Charles Ireland and the Rev. Robert E. Kline officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette. Mr. Richmond was born July 7, 1897, at Orange, in Coshocton County, a son of John and Maggie Harstein Richmond. He wasmarried on May 27, 1920, to Florence Gayle Geese, who survives him. Mr and Mrs. Richmond operated a farm in Oxford Township for 23 years, retiring in 1957. Mr. Richmond was a member of the Orange Methodist Church, was a charter member ofthe Blue Ridge Grange and was a former member of the farm bureau. In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Vernon (Marjorie) Dreher, West Lafayette Route 1, and Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Sharrock, West Lafayette; threesisters, Mrs. Walter (Nina) Widder, Coshocton, Mrs. J.R. (Emma) Henderson, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. Carlton (Helen) Hottle, Akron; and by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. [Last paragraph omitted].

Census shows Raymond Richmond at age 32, living on a farm which herents, located on the road along the abandoned Ohio Canal, and working on his own account as a 'Farmer' doing 'General Farm' work. Raymond Richmond is not a veteran, but he does own a radio set. Except for Raymond's Mother, all members ofthe family were born in Ohio of parents both born in Ohio. Wife Florence G. Richmond is age 27. The couple married when Raymond was age 22 and Florence was age 18, which was 9/10 years prior to the Census, circa 1920/1921. There are 2children in the household: Daughter Marjorie G. Richmons is age 7; and Daughter Thelma J. Richmond is age 5 years. THe household also includes Raymond's Mother, Maggie Richmond at age 66, a widow who was born in Ohio of a Father born inIndiana and a Mother born in Ohio.

There are 2 children in the household, both born in Ohio of a Father born in Pennsylvania and a Mother born in Ohio: Son Glenn Geese is age 19, working for wages as a 'Laborer'; and Daughter Gayle Geese is age 19, working forwages as a 'Burner' for an 'Enamel Co.'.
